Rooted in Learning

Our educational opportunities cover the full life cycle of growing plants—from selecting seeds and preparing soil to watering, pruning, and harvesting.

  • Youth gain practical experience through guided planting sessions and learn about the fascinating world of plants.

  • Take a fieldtrip to our partner nursery, Hand Picked Nursery near McGees Crossroads (Benson, NC) for hands-on workshops and educational experiences.

Grow Program

Easy to understand, simple to launch, and designed to create value for youth, families, schools, organizations and partners.

  • Youth agencies or schools enroll to bring the program to youth and families.
  • Organizations receive starter plugs from our partner nursery, Hand Picked Nursery, and guidance for growing healthy, sellable plants.
  • Youth build responsibility, confidence and skills through hands-on care, observation, and consistency.
  • Sellable plants are returned for resale through our partner nursery, Hand Picked Nursery, benefiting the youth organization.

Plant Fundraising Program

The Plant Fundraising Program helps schools, community-based organizations, garden clubs, ball teams and youth groups raise funds through plant sales.

  • Launch a plant-based fundraising campaign and receive personalized flyers and order forms. Printable Flyer
  • Collect orders for a two-week time frame selling plants to families, community members, and local gardeners.
  • Promo code provided to receive credit for nonlocal sales. 
  • Plants are shipped directly to organization from our nursery partner, Hand Picked Nursery, and organizations receive percentage of sales (25-50%).
